COVID-19 lockdown: Police officers allegedly beat man to death in Abuja (VIDEO)

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown continues in Abuja, Lagos and later Ogun, a video of a man allegedly killed by police officers in Abuja on Wednesday has emerged, THE WITNESS reports.
According to unconfirmed reports trending online, the deceased went out to buy food for his pregnant wife during the lockdown when some police officers enforcing compliance accosted him.
It was learnt that despite explanations by the deceased, the police started beating him till he collapsed and died.
Efforts by THE WITNESS to reach the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba for comments proved futile as his mobile line was not reachable as at press time.
